Free Halo Rerach Beta Invite Emailed to Me For Being a Loyal Halo Fan!

So after a long debate with my self weather it would be worth buying a copy of the Halo 3: ODST just to play this Halo Reach Beta, I decided not to do it. Especially with rumors that the Halo Reach Beta is only supposed to last for a couple weeks.  So last night I just had a friend bring his Hard Drive over with his copy of ODST, so we could get a couple hours of the Beta in, and so I could see what it was all about.

There are only 2 levels that you can play right now, but the different layouts for the characters are pretty cool. Being able to chose between a stalker, who can turn invisible, or get a jet pack that allows you to fly, or being able to sprint around, or even become invincible for a few seconds. All these different options add an unpredictable element to the game, and you never know which one your opponent is going to use!  All in all I would say it was a pretty fun game!

So after I though I got my halo fix in last night, I login to my email this morning to find that Bungie has sent me a Halo Reach E-mail Invite for free, and thanking me for being such a “Loyal Halo Fan!”

So tonight, it looks like ill be getting back on the Beta, thanks to Bungie sending out free invites. Because I was not about to go out and spend $30-40 on the ODST!

I’m not sure how exactly they select you to receive the Halo Reach Beta for free, might be people who participated in the Halo 3 Beta when that came out a long time ago, or if you sign up an account at bungie.net.  Those are the only things that I can think of, because they have your email address already on file.

Do anyone know how they chose you to get a free invite to the Halo Reach Beta?

So, what do you think?
